YPP fun & I think I won??

There is so much going on at Your Paper Pantry that all I've been doing is getting familiar with the place!  I've joined a few of the groups and tomorrow is when they start posting the swaps.  I hope to join a couple of them - the stickpin interests me and the flowers.  I'm in 5 groups total but I'll follow the others until I feel more comfortable!
I haven't created anything *blah* I started on a couple of cards last night but got side tracked and ended up doing housework!  *double blah*  Tonight is the night for crafts!
I think I won a giveaway at one of the blogs I'm a member of - but I was suppose to notify her by yesterday, so I think I'm too late.  I dashed off an email to the blogger and I'm crossing my fingers!!

Power Day

Today the electricity (power) was off.  I finally got a hold of Rocky Mountain Power.  Did you know your cordless phone  wont work when the power is off?  We have a corded phone just for that purpose.  But I still couldn't use it - my hubby took the long distance off our home phone and the only number I could find was long distance (does this sound funny?)  So I got my cell phone but the battery was dead (yes I tried the charger - but the power was out!! lol)  Good thing my car charges the phone when the car is turned off (my hubbys car only charges when the car is running).  This was around 4 pm and they said the power would be out until 10 pm.  I undid the garage door so I could get the car out of the garage and I run a couple of errands.  When I got back the power came back on (around 5:15)

I forget how much I rely on having electricity!!  We had another power outage a couple of weeks ago & I started the fireplace (I'm glad we have a wood pile out back behind our shed)  My husband was at a loss then - he watches a lot of TV.  I'm glad I like to read and have plenty of stuff to do in my craft room.  I just need light lol

YPP - Your Paper Pantry

I joined Your Paper Pantry.  It's a wonderful place to meet other people interested in paper crafting.  There are contests and swaps and all kinds of fun stuff to do.  Great people to get to know too!  I'm excited about joining and I hope this will help me get out of my funk (lost that crafty feeling).  Check it out - hope to see you there :)

March Madness

Yes it's that time of the year - my husbands favorite sport - basketball!!

I spend most of my time in my craft/computer room while he watches his sports in the living room.  Sports drive me crazy!!  I can't stand the sound of sneakers on the basketball court.  The inane comments by the sportscasters (can you tell I don't like sports?)  So I try not to complain and live with it - endure to the end (of basketball playoffs)
